My corona virus reflections

My beloved Everett today in hospital window where young people came to visit,he is a student at FIU* very thin
1- I have not been out since January 17 except for window visits  because my immune system is very poor.

2-Vendors have come to my house and done nothing and gauged badly I'm sorry to say - groceries also

3-I lost 3 friends , a father contractor,age 38 with 3 children and a friend I worked with who had just beaten cancer , 80,school friend i spoke with every day 76, a 3rd age 20 fighting real hard  day 7 hospital,above..

4-I find these disaster times bring out the best and worst in people.I get it small businesses holding on for dear life etc,all utilities up,liability insurance =rough.

5- I did not ask but 5 people bring me vegetables, groceries and household goods, one is a baseball parent, one a former student, one a neighbor-,2 friends,I feel immensely  blessed, and humble.

6-My son and granddaughter usually come for Easter .I missed that and chocolate.

7- I hear people say they are bored- I am amazed at that .I  have so much cleaning, organizing, hobbies, gardening  etc ..I am never ever  bored..

8- I talked yesterday to my friends in China , who tell me the  source is just not** known.Lots of speculation but Wuhan Virility Institute  is very tight lipped .(their words)

9- Strength comes from adversity .I surely have had a lot and I am by no means alone

10- I challenge myself to make different foods every week, to change  and add some fun to being in all the time .

11-Lots of people have come here, I love them but ..wish they would stop outside .a hug has become more special than ever .I'm a consummate hugger.

12-I did not hoard anything from day 1 but now I do need   supplies and hope it is there.I made my own antibacterials, masks etc

13-I've been doing research on how they track viruses and it is so interesting..Here in Florida the armadillo spreads leprosy but only through direct contact and yet  that does not stop some people, just as highways are full and no one stays home.(I know 2 people who have leprosy-both captured armadillos to skin )My granddaughter Mara Grace is going into bio  medical research ,her first love for years ..

  1. I hope you have big windows to watch the world and spring from. Can you get fresh air at least? Good for your granddaughter!

  2. Bored? What's that? I'm like you. There's not enough time or energy for me to do everything I want to do in a day, including just sitting still and enjoying the moment. Big hugs to you. :-)
