Amazing food facts - at least to me

  2. I have read that our landfills are composed mostly of food throw-aways than anything else (plastic is second). I have stopped buying thing we weren't eating in hopes of eliminating this kind of waste. Still, some things go bad more quickly than I anticipate sometimes. No way to know how long it was on the shelf to begin with when it's produce.
