NewThursday 13-painting candlelight and low light paintngs

Once I painted a candle for my grandmother.I thought it was extraordinarily difficult to capture the glow and there began my fascination for the genre of low light painting and here are some favorites.

    Those are very good. When I visited the Louvre when I was a teenager, I saw a painting that looked as if it had lighting shining through a woman's hand. We weren't allowed to take pictures and I've long forgotten what the painting was, but I remember being completely entranced by the way the artist had managed that feat. Good luck to you with the hurricane coming - I hope it does not hit the panhandle.
