Thursday 13-13 BABY ANIMAL TERMS DO YOU KNOW THEM??

A leveret is a baby bunny?? who knew?? not me ??


A polliwog is a baby Frog--that I knew - sang about it in my toddler days .

smolt is a young salmon in the midst of its first migration from fresh water into the sea.WHAT??
A hatchling is a baby gator??
fledgling is any young bird 

shoat is a young pig that has recently been weaned off of its mother's milk and onto solid food. (all those farm years never knew it )I called them piglets??

A baby oyster is a spat .Are you kidding me  right now??

A nymph is a young insect.I think I learned that in science and never used it .

An eyas is a young nestling hawk or falcon.what what ??



 cygnet is a young swan.yes I knew but never referred to it .

BABY ALPACA OR LLAMA =CRIA???

A BABY BAT IS A PUPPY .

  6. Very interesting 13! The baby alpaca is adorable! And, though I knew piglets were stoats, I think it's an English term. Nymphs are usually water born larval like forms that transform into adults and are similar to a moth or butterfly larval stage.
