Guinea hens in SC
When JC comes home from school his loyal dog is always there
not far away on a porch one morning made national news but I have seen them this close - very gentle and slow
|The family of cats is an amazing picture. So is the mountain lion? on the porch. That would sure wake you up in the morning.
ReplyDeleteHello, wonderful collection of critters and photos. I would not want that big cat on my deck. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteBobcats can be gentle...but also can turn on you if something new is introduced into their environment. My mother had one in a ravine behind her house and found that scary (I would if I were her...she was ill and there was a neighbor dog that would probably try to engage it if given a chance). The last I read, some areas are pretty close to allowing the hunting of bobcats again. I would love to photograph one with a good camera lense from an absolutely safe distance.
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons I like staying in the northeast even though there is milder weather elsewhere is because of the relative lack of snakes. Some idiots in government have floated the idea of "reintroducing" timber rattlers to some areas around here. We're doing just fine without them, thanks.
