I am grateful for prizes

This weekend at the Lake Placid Countr Fair, I won 2nd second places with these poems  and a Best of show for Rhyming Verse - a little money and grand fun  Yep that's me in the hat

                                                          Assurance of life

                                       “cheer cheer “ they banter as I open my eyes every morning

                                        cardinals dancing on the  calliandra outside my window

                                         Scarlet messengers rivaling the rufescent powder puff bush.

                                        

                                       ”cheer cheer” they say and their wondrous

                                         message to me is that of  glorious nature and life  and I am

                                         forever grateful.

Memories drifting  in awhile

Of the day you ran with me, away with me, to marry me
