Peacefulness

My grandmother always said   "exercise brings on a more perfect peace from stress and anxiety"
Recent stress in your life may cause you to feel preoccupied today. Your thoughts may be as distracting as they are disconcerting if your mind is wound up and your ideas and emotions are scattered in many different directions. Instead of simply waiting for the storm of thoughts to pass you by, consider taking charge of your mental state. Since the mind is intimately connected with the body, making an effort to calm both may have a most profound effect on your mind-set. While sedentary and peaceful activities like journaling and meditation could soothe your thoughts, strenuous exercise may be the most beneficial when it comes to releasing tension in the body. Undertaking a calming regiment that focuses on both mind and body today could help dispel your mental turmoil.

Learning to relax your mind and body gives you the tools you need to be in stillness during times when numerous concerns may occupy your thoughts. We suffer through bouts of mental agitation when we are unsure of how to combat a racing mind. The best way to quiet your mental self is to relieve the stress flooding through your body and mind. When you bring your physical self into a state of peace, you send calming messages to your mind. Similarly, quelling anxiety in the mind encourages the body to release tension naturally. This allows you to more easily regain emotional control and clarity of thought. When you relax the body as well as the mind today, you will discover that your anxious thoughts will quickly disappear.

I find mantras  and music helpful as well and you ??
